An interactive half-globe surrounded by5 information terminals…

Client: meso | digital interiors for Intuity Media Lab GmbH
My position: Conceptual and Programming
Duration:
Three months (end 2006 until spring 2007)
Project Website: EnBW Energy globe @ meso.net
Project Location: Messe Hannover, EnBW Showroom in Berlin and others

In cooperation with Intuity Media Lab GmbH MESO Digital Interiors created a round table with a projected semi-globe for EnBW. The exhibit showed various scenarios concerning earth warming and CO2 emissions. Visitors were able to select different scenarios with four touch screens which are mounted on the surrounding panel. Projection technology developed in cooperation with Satis&Fy AG.

I was the main responsible for the programming and interaction design of the embedded terminals (see images below). Each terminal consists of a computer with touch-screen displaying informations about climate change another related topics. The screens also control the main display: the globe itself.

On the project page at www.meso.net a video shows the EnBW Energy Globe in action.
